Online Orientation

If you are scheduled to take an online course, then you will have to complete the online orientation for Canvas.

Please note that if you do not successfully complete the online orientation at least a week before your online class is scheduled to start, then you will be unenrolled from your online class. Since the online classes tend to fill up quickly, if you lose your spot, you may not be able to get it back.

  • To get to the online orientation, click here: https://orientation.ecpi.net/, or you can use the link at the top of moodle: Student Resources > Online > Online Orientation.
  • Type in your student ID and then click Submit.
  • Finish logging in using the same password that you use for Moodle, your student email, etc.
  • Once you start the online orientation, you must complete the entire quiz in one sitting. The maximum time allowed is 90 minutes, but it will probably take less than half of that.
  • There are a series of questions to answer and videos to watch that give you the answers to the questions. You will need speakers or headphones in order to hear the videos.
  • At the end, you will receive a score.
    • If your score is at least 80%, then you have passed the online orientation, and you will be sent a congratulatory email.
    • If your score was below 80%, then you may want to talk to Dr. V before you re-attempt the orientation quiz because you are only permitted two attempts.

You can also watch (or re-watch!) the videos  that go along with the online orientation questions at www.ecpionline.com. Don’t log in; just look under the menu for Canvas Tutorials.

If you need any assistance, either during the online orientation or during your online course, please contact Dr. V at avakarietis@chefva.com.
